Dion Padilla’s unique style and approach to wealth management have made him a highly sought-after financial professional within the San Antonio community, particularly among employees from the city’s most prominent corporations – such as AT&T, Valero, NuStar, USAA, Whataburger, HOLT Caterpillar, and others. His “client-first” approach and independent, fiduciary status have enabled him to develop meaningful relationships rooted in objective, unbiased investment advice.
Since his start in the industry in 2001, Dion has focused his expertise with a specialization in serving Fortune 500 corporate executives and mid-level employees, as well as high-net-worth families. His expertise and knowledge of company benefit plans, executive compensation packages, and understanding the complexities wealthy families face allow for him and the advisory team to develop solutions that best meet the needs of their clients.
In his role as a wealth advisor, Dion serves as the lead manager for all wealth management services of the firm. He is responsible for discovery, development and implementation of all comprehensive financial planning, including oversight of portfolio strategies utilized for all clients.
Dion discovered his passion and talent for strategic planning while serving in the U.S. Navy Silent Service community, at first on board two nuclear submarines, and later as an Anti-Submarine Warfare Tactics Instructor in San Diego, California.
After a distinguished career in the military and utilizing the Navy College Program, Dion became a financial advisor at one of Wall Street’s most recognized brokerage firms. In 2006, he decided to break off and form Padilla Wealth Management, an independent advisory firm. Dion is currently an investment advisor representative.
Dion is a native of San Antonio and is active in his community and church. He also serves on the board of a local non-profit organization, mentors students in the areas of finance and money management, is committed to fundraising for causes that focus on active duty military and veterans, and children’s charities. Dion is married with four children. He loves to play golf and spend time with his family.
